Citroen is to equip the C4 with a new paddle shift gearbox from October 2006. The £500 option will be made available for the 108bhp 1.6 diesal engine in SX/VTR+ trims. Performance is unaffected though fuel economy is said to be improved.

Citroen aims to launch its new 4x4 as soon as summer 2007 according to French website www.cardisiac.com. But PSA (Peugeot / Citroen) are not going it alone. In order to reduce the risks of entering this new area PSA have teamed up with Mitubishi to help develop their future range of 4X4's. Mitubishi is likely to provide the floorpan, suspensions and transmission for future models.

Just found this over at What Car. The C5 is getting a new twin turbo 2.2 diesel engine with an output of 170bhp, 0-62mph in 8.2sec while still doing 46mpg. Also appearing in the Citroen C6 and Citroen C8 (though no word of a C4 version yet

"Clearly those groovy peeps at Morris had the right idea when they developed the original 'jelly mould' design on the Minor back in the 1950s.
Indeed the veracity of the shape has proved time-less having been kept going by the likes of VW on the new Beetle and now by Citroen in the shape of their C-Airplay Concept Car."

Just found this from Carpoint Australia. Citroen are planning on introducing a twin turbo four cylinder engine for the Citroen C5. Citroen is claiming a 20% improvement in in gear acceleration over the previous diesel C5's.
